Silicon Steel Core Manufacturing

Yangon Transformer’s state of the art magnetic core is made of HI-B and LASER grade, low-loss, grain oriented, cold rolled steel sheets with highly resistant double sided insulation that are sourced directly from Japan to meet international standards. In addition, the Core’s design architecture is created by Engineers from America.

The laminations are cut at an angle of 45 degree at the joints to facilitate the passage of the magnetic flux from the limbs to the yokes.

The limbs and yokes are of circular structure and arranged stepwise through a step-lap pattern at an angle of 45 degrees for core construction. This results in noise reduction and no-load losses. In addition, the design allows for faster stacking of the core, creating a faster and shorter manufacturing time

Quality Control For Every Manufacturing Process

  • Yangon Transformer & Electrical Co.,Ltd. has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certificate as well as Type testing recognition by internationally recognized testing authorities, such as KEMA in the Netherlands.
  • Due to this, each and every single unit of YTE Transformer is strictly compliance with international standards such as IEC, ANSI and IEEE, as well as additional standards required by the customer.
  • To conform with international standards, YTE ensures its quality control by systematically auditing internal and external processes at every stage of production process.
  • YTE promotes environmentally friendly products and production processes that could have immediate and long term environmental impacts by stringently following ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System standards.

Testing

Yangon Transformer & Electrical Co.,Ltd. performs test on each unit of transformers, which must pass the following tests. Tests are inline with international standards specified by IEC, ANSI and IEEE.

Routine Tests: Following routine tests are conducted on every unit of transformers that we produced.

  • Ratio Test
  • Polarity and Phase Relation (Vector Group) Test
  • Winding Resistance Test
  • Insulation Resistance Test
  • Load Loss and No-Load Loss Test
  • Applied and Induced Potential Test
  • Dielectric Test
  • Tests on on-load tap-changers
  • Oil pressure test on transformer to check against leakages

Type Tests: We also perform the following tests on a transformer unit that is a representative of transformers with the same characteristics.

  • Temperature-rise test
  • Lightning Impulse test
