Founded in 1999 by our Chairman, U Maung Thaung, Yangon Transformer and Electrical Co.,Ltd
is one of the earliest and leading transformer manufacturers in Myanmar. YTE started manufacturing transformers at its Shwe Pyi Thar Factory in 2001 and has built additional two more factories in Shwe Pyi Thar and Shwe Lin Ban. Since then, YTE has been contributing quality and reliable transformers in full filling Myanmar’s electricity requirements, and has been involved in many Government projects over the years.
YTE manufactures the best transformers and switch gear due to its latest technology, outstanding manufacturing capabilities, and strict quality control standards to provide high quality materials to customers.
At the beginning, YTE started with 11 and 6.6kV incoming and 400V outgoing distribution transformers. Currently on the production line, YTE is manufacturing up to 66kV power transformers with capacities from 50kVA to 30,000kVA (30MVA). YTE is in the process of expanding its production capabilities to manufacturer 132kV and 230kV power transformers with capacities of 100 MVA. In addition to transformers, YTE manufactures disconnecting switches, current transformers and potential transformers.
